SWCD participated in a Summer Reading Program at the Sherman County Library on Tuesday, June 25. Marylou read the book Diary of a Worm by Doreen Cronin.  After spending time outside examining the soil, everyone met in the program room to learn about the different layers of soil while creating edible "dirt cups". Also, seeds were planted into small butterfly gardens so the kids could watch the flowers sprout and grow at home.
